Vaticanus Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 First time posting here and thought I would offer a big hello from Mission Viejo California. I chose the pseudonym "vaticanus" not for its Catholic implication (a religion I greatly admire and respect) but for its root meaning of adoption of an oracle or seer. As a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have adopted to follow the seer and prophet of Christ upon the earth. About me in general, a fifty year old dad of three who married up (as do so many successful men I have known). I feel lucky to have them in my life. Quote
Guest Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Welcome! My grandparents served a mission in Mission Viejo many, many years ago. Quote
Vaticanus Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 I also served in the Mission Viejo area for a short period roughly thirty one years ago when it was part of the San Diego Mission (I was a holdover waiting to go to who knows where at the time). I eventually ended up in Peru. Quote
pam Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Was it the San Diego mission then or still the So. California mission? Quote
Vaticanus Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 LOL, San Diego Mission then. Stetched from Mission Viejo to National City (North to South), and from San Diego to Yuma Arizona and Blythe. One huge chunk of real estate, but small when I arrived at my Peru, Arequipa Mission. skippy740 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I used to work at Wells Fargo in Mission Viejo off Marguerite & Oso Pkwy inside Pavillions. Man that was a long time ago. Welcome! Quote
Vaticanus Posted September 20, 2012 Author Report Posted September 20, 2012 The Bank office is still there inside Pavilions, and they built a Wells Fargo bank outside by the gas station too. Quote
skippy740 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 LOL. That's what happened when Wachovia bought out World Savings, and then Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia. Quote
