Guest Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 My advice to you. I would worry a lot more about being worthy of my own sealing than having a sealing remain binding with all the crap we do to our spouses. Everyday I worry about not being worthy of my sealing covenants and losing my husband for eternity. That, to me, would be real fire-and-brimstone hell. People take for granted that they went to the temple and got sealed, so they're tied to their spouses. Sealings is not paperwork. It's a covenant. You keep the covenant, otherwise, you lose the blessings thereof. Quote
EarlJibbs Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 I know that many will say you should mind your own business, but if you know for a fact that 2 members of your ward are having an affair, and thus 2 families are in danger, I think that you should absolutely tell the bishop, Earl. They are not in my ward, but I do know the bishop pretty well. He is well aware of the situation. But I think it is time that I tip him off that all is not well in Zion. I have been pretty vague, but these two are family. All of the advice received here was great. What does a bishop do when two "offenders" live in the same ward and continue to be active? The entire situation is really awkward. You cannot really ask one of them to move or to stop coming. Wierd case indeed. Quote
mnn727 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 So is it truely almost impossible for her to receive a temple divorce? .How many times must I shout it? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEMPLE DIVORCE!Temples are about binding together.A cancellation of Sealing is what she needs.Sorry but that is a REALLY BIG pet peeve of mine.If she doesn't want it in the eternities, then she can so choose - in the eternities.
