If they like or dislike your choice, accept it, love them even the more, and continue to be faithful to your baptismal covenant. As we are told, "Who are we to fear, when God is our friend?" That sounds difficult, but I imagine the sooner its out in the open the sooner that those opposed to it can come to accept it.. no idea on how long that will be tho.If i were in that situation i'd think i'd explain along the lines of, "God has lead me in this direction, so this is where i need to be" sort of explanation.
