rjcordova Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Hi there. Today I decided to join this forum mainly because I wish to start reading and studying the bible. I have never really read it I am seeking advice from my fellow members as to how to start reading it. I know it's a hard book to understand, that's why I want to ask for advice as to where to start and all that. Thanks. Quote
Guest LiterateParakeet Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Welcome! For studying Isaiah, I really like John Bytheway's book, "Isaiah for Airheads". He gives some great tips to help us better understand this wonderful prophet. Quote
Vort Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Hi there. Today I decided to join this forum mainly because I wish to start reading and studying the bible. Lots of good stories. That will give you a foundation to build on.You are likely to find the New Testament much more interesting and engaging, on the whole, than the Old Testament. The four Gospels are the obvious place to start, and for the same reason as Genesis. Acts is also very interesting to read. Again, it's foundation building. Quote
