I think the technical distinction is that you don't have to sustain or set apart a person to an assignment. (Not that setting apart is all that crucial). But in all other aspects, callings and assignments are identical.

Started off as 11 year old Scout Leader followed by Emergency Prep Specialist which was followed by EQ Secretary and I am now currently the Ward Clerk.

I might be missing a few...not sure. There were several assignments thrown in there too, can't remember the order or the years.

I was told by a Bishop once that I was "kept busy" so that I would stay out of trouble. Hmm, how thoughtful. :rolleyes::D~TG

I forgot one.....I also go and clean the church when its my turn...thats what I did this evening with my sweetheart.....the past 2yrs while cleaning the building when it was our turn we had tornado warnings in our area. They moved us to the first of March...no tornado warnings this time...just snow
