ru1too Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 i noticed on other sites people have placed in their bios some or all the terms "endowed" "temple recommend" n "temple worthy". Whats the difference and meaning of each of these terms? Thanks Quote
pam Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 The only time I've seen that is on dating sites catering to LDS. Quote
Roseslipper Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Its easy endowed means they been to the temple, temple worthy means they are living the commandments and can get a temple recommend but have not gone 2 the temple as of yet. Quote
Dravin Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Endowed - They have partaken of the Endowment ordinance in the temple.Temple Recommend - They hold a temple recommend.Temple Worthy - They are worthy to hold a temple recommend. There is a distinction to be made between the three if one really wants to do so but if these are dating site biographies then they are probably all trying to communicate the same basic idea. Namely that said individuals can be sealed in the temple if the relationship goes that far. Quote
ru1too Posted January 27, 2014 Author Report Posted January 27, 2014 thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. What an honor it would be to be married in the temple. Quote
