aeglyn Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) How do i put into wordsThe beauty my eyes beholdIn crisp, simple morningsAt once warm and cold? How does one walkAnd not see the treesMajestic and tallWrestling the breeze? How can you not hearThe morning prayer of dovesAnd whispered wings flyingIn clear airs above? What heartstring is so brokenAnd so out of tuneIt cannot be mendedOn a clear blue afternoon?Oh gentle wind on my faceSo quiet to my earsI breathe in all the joyWith my eyes full of tears.Aeglyn 2013 Edited February 22, 2015 by aeglyn Quote
Ron65 Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 I believe I have remarked on this poem elsewhere and I still say it's a beautiful poem that puts an element of spirituality into nature. I particularly liked the third stanza with its internal rhyme that creates nice sound effects coupled with the end of line rhyme. Quote
aeglyn Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 I thought this might be a more appropriate forum for this work. I intend to send more of what I wrote before on here that others might possibly enjoy reading. Thank you, Ron. :) Quote
Ron65 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 I'm sure many will enjoy reading your poetry, but it's a pity there's very few who respond with comments. Quote
