pam Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 We must continue to love those so that they can build confidence in God’s love. We need to develop faith in a Father in Heaven who loves them perfectly. It’s easier when we have family members that love us in the same way. Show your sincere interests in others well being and then share your testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Encourage those you love to seek to find out what the Lord would have them do. Ask them questions to make them think and allow them sufficient time to ponder and seek and work out the answers themselves. Teach them how to pray and how to recognize answers to their prayers. Help them to know the scriptures are a vital source of seeking and finding answers. God’s purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. That is fundamental to all we do. We sometimes lose sight of God’s objectives. Share in a way that your friends will want to follow the commandments. Always seek to strengthen families. Love is a power to influence those to do better. The children of Heavenly Father can do amazing things when they feel they are trusted. Share principles that will help others press forward on the path. We all follow line upon line. Keep your testimony simple. The atonement of Jesus Christ makes possible becoming more like our Father in Heaven to live together eternally as family units. Testify of the Savior and the power of His atoning sacrifice. Don’t become so absorbed with trivial things that you miss the doctrinal foundation. The best example that ever walked the earth was Jesus Christ. His gospel is the path to peace in this life. Quote
Wingnut Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 I normally fall asleep during Elder Scott's talks. Like, almost every time...it's awful. But I actually really enjoyed this talk. It was a good one. Quote
