Kind of new kind of old member

Hi Everybody my name is Don. I was initially introduced to the Mormon religion when I was 8 years old. My parents decided at that time that it was time to get baptized and so me, my older brother and sister, along with our parents got baptized. After a few years my parents grew away from the church then stopped going completely. As I was only a child and the church was 30 miles away I had to stop going as well. I went a few times when I was a teen but never really got interested. I then went along with my life and made a lot of mistakes and sinned many many many times. I stole, drank a lot, watched porn and so on. Then when I was about 48 I started really talking to God and asked him what church was the right one (much the same question as Joseph Smith without all the wonderful glory). A couple years later I met up with a couple missionaries that were at a friends house that was also across the street from where a cousin of mine lived and I was just leaving and saw them. I went over and started talking to them and invited them to come to my house. They did and I didn't go back right away I looked at one other religion but came back back to the LDS. I have read the Book of Mormon and can testify to it being true. I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and living church back on the earth. I know this without a second thought in my mind. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and will NEVER turn away again. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ.
