Sunday21
Hi Is there anyone here from Manitoba Canada? They recently had a community meeting about the new temple and the church is applying for permits. Rumour is that the temple will be in Winnipeg south. Any info as to the location? Hopefully less crime and vandalism to the temple then. Our temple is not in a pricey or nice neighborhood at all, in fact it is in what most consider the poor/crime/hood (on the news for shootings, gangs, etc. each night) part of our city. A couple months ago vandals jumped the fence at night and tried to take some of the ornate decorations off the entrance doors. They kind of succeeded, but were recorded on temple security cameras. How awful to hear of the temple being robbed. Well I can see why temples are usually located in nicer neighbourhoods. Most of the Canadian temples are in nicer neighbourhoods with the possible exception of Nova Scotia. I say this from looking at Google satellite and counting above ground pools.
