Prepare in haste

This evening, after reading Alma 62:21, we asked our children what they thought it meant to 'prepare in haste' as Moroni had commanded his army to do.  After each of our four older children tried to come up with an answer, something clicked in our 10 yr old son's mind; he pointed excitedly and responded, "It means they don't have summoning sickness!!!"  😄😄

I think the fact that I reacted to your post is indicative of the fact that I played Magic: The Gathering as a child as well.

I decided to teach my son to play mostly in response to his overenthusiastic interest in Pokemon cards.  I was hoping he would understand that it is pointless to collect game cards unless you know what to do with them.  I never learned how to play the Pokemon card game, we'll see how well that holds.
