I have some experience in bad winters, but nothing as bad as some of the stories I've heard about Idaho. I hope I'm ready too...

They dont seem to be as bad as they were in the past though. My mother graduated from Ricks and I have a picture of my Grandfather delivering mail in a horse drawn sleigh. The only thing visible of the road were poles sticking out of the snow to mark the edges of the road.

The last few winters weren't as bad as they could have been - it's not uncommon to get below zero for the entire day while walking to class, and people who have never driven in winter weather (IE, people from California) are probably the scariest drivers ever. For the most part, it's pretty fun though - lots of hills to go sledding on, and the only thing you have to worry about is crossing parking lots because they get iced over

I've been there since Fall of '05 and I've loved every minute of it

Jriddick, what classes are you taking?
