rameumptom Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 Rebky asked me about FAIR. LDS FAIR Apologetics Homepage is the site. They are a group that defends the Church. There are many scholarly papers available, and they have a wiki at Main Page - FAIRMormonUnofficially Tied to FAIR is the Mormon Apologetics site at www.mormonapologetics.org Quote
Rebky Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 ah, well thank you! Doesn't sound very 'light' lol Quote
rameumptom Posted January 31, 2008 Author Report Posted January 31, 2008 Some of the articles aren't too bad. However, I have some friends at FAIR that really need to find a hobby outside FAIR. I've joked with some that a short article for them would have 10 pages of footnotes. Quote
Rebky Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 haha It's hard not to get wordy when you want to be thorough! It's important to get it right. Still- I admire people who can say SO much with very little words. THAT is a skill. I may go over to FAIR and take a peak this afternoon. It's a cold blizzardly day so I'm staying in! Quote
Maya Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Hi Ram... nice to meet you. Be sure I will come with some questions. I am also on a few other sites and they ask so much nonsense and I am not so young any more so I keep forgetting the good answers.. sometimes. I love fair and a few other sites, especially those that are about finding out where Nephittene lived... antropology and such. Jeffs pretty new site about comparing cristianity to Mormonisme was just great! See you around! ps I hate footnotes... it means I should check those notes... Spelling I spell Norwegean... finnish..english...and have dysgrafi... Doc Steuss... "I have found that the more I learn, the more there is for me to forget." I agree:lol: Quote
rameumptom Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 Mailis, Good to meet you, too. Spelling is an issue for me, but only in poking fun. I would much rather read a well-thought out paper with some spelling and grammatical errors, than read a perfectly punctuated paper that made no sense whatsoever.... Quote
Rebky Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Okay... someone tell me what 'Nephittene' is.... Quote
rameumptom Posted February 2, 2008 Author Report Posted February 2, 2008 I'm guessing it is the Norwegian form of "Nephites." Quote
Rebky Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 upon closer inspection.. she DID say that didn't she. Still I had to make sure I wasn't missing something! LOL Quote
