Trusting in God

Alma 38:5

 

5 And now my son, Shiblon, I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day !

 

We see in this Verse that Alma is teaching his son Shiblon to trust God because God will deliver him from all of his trials and troubles we still serve the same God who can deliver us from any situation and afflictions the key is for us is to submit to him and put total trust in him !

I agree but I also consider that being delivered from death through the resurrection applies.  We may not be delivered from all mortal trials – which is part of our mortal probation, but we are delivered from death through the atonement of Christ and will arise triumphant.   If we are to complete more in this life – we will be delivered in this life.
