Looking for quote by Pres Hinckley

Some time ago President Hinckley was speaking of the LDS church as it relates to other religions of the world. I'm looking to find his exact quote. I'll paraphrase what he said: he mentioned that there was truth in all religions and it would be great if they could bring us their truths and let us build upon them. Something like this. Any ideas anyone?

Is this the quote:

Pres. Hinkley - General Conference - May 1998

"We can respect other religions, and must do so. We must recognize the great good they accomplish. We must teach our children to be tolerant and friendly toward those not of our faith. We can and do work with those of other religions in the defense of those values which have made our civilization great and our society distinctive."

I think that wasn't so long ago. Are you up to perusing President Hinckley's conference addresses from the last few General Conferences (www.lds.org)?

I remember the quote, and it was within the last 3 or 4 years at general conference. I too, have been trying to find it on lds.org, but I guess I'm not searching on the right phrase or words.

I hope someone knows which one it is and can post the reference.

Dec. 27, 2005 - Interview with AP.

Gordon B. Hinckley was recently interviewed by the Associated Press which was then published in the Deseret News. When asked if the LDS Church is the "only true and living church upon the whole Earth", Hinckley really didn't answer anything:

"This is the only true and living church upon the face of the whole Earth which I, the Lord, am pleased." Now, where does that leave other churches? We believe that all churches do great good. We believe in the virtue in the lives of other people in other churches. We acknowledge the tremendous accomplishments of other churches. Our position is simply this, we say, you bring all the good that you have, wherever you have acquired it, and see if we may add to it."

It was definately at General Conference, but he may have repeated it in this interview, or may have repeated this statement from the interview in General Conference.

thanks for the help. I did a search on LDS.org for all combinations of words in the quote you gave me. Couldn't find anything. I'm pretty sure you're correct...I do remember Pres Hinckley saying something like this; I thought it was a conference talk, howerver. Maybe not. Seems as though I remember him saying "bring us your truths and we will build upon them"....Hmmmm. Gotta find it somewhere.
