I think prior to 1978 it would have been an impediment, now the blessings of the Priesthood are available to all. If as was believed in years past by the brethren that blacks for instance, were less valiant in the pre-existence, then it may have been right to assume this. I understand your point Funky. I am mainly speaking about the hypocrisy of the left. I have read reports that the detainees receive a lot of special treatments that they wouldn't receive normally. I don't want the detainees here nor do I want them to have access to our courts. Military tribunals seem the best way to go. Let us not forget that these are the worst of the lot and deemed most dangerous. Many have been released and some returned to their former callings....terrorist.

Since some feel that mistreatment of prisoners occurred under Bush's watch, wouldn't Obama have insured their safety and well being by now? Or are you saying that Obama is employing the same system as Bush and if that is the case, and I think it is, then it's probably safe to assume that mistreatment wasn't and isn't going on. After all, Obama would not want that kind of scandal.

Ah, but he also wants to detain them indefinitely. No habeus corpus. They are treated much better at GITMO than they would be in the US prison system. Point is, the issue is not as easy to solve when you are in charge of doing it. I think you've got it backwards. Considering all the vilification heaped on Bush, this is an interesting development. I understand that Obama is reserving the right to use water boarding in the event he deems it necessary......I thought he said that was torture???!!!

Interesting. It doesn't do it in the winter. The other night I had the windows open because it was unseasonably cool and the TV worked great. Very well maybe heat related. Maybe I need to keep the back of the TV cooler. Thanks Snow.

I have a 61" Samsung DLP (6163W). The picture is awesome.....not LCD for sure, but I have had it for four years. So what's wrong you might ask? Well, the TV just turns it self off. I turn it back on and a few minutes later, off it goes. Over and over and over....aarrrrrrrrr!!!! I am very close to shooting it. Very frustrating and they are not just giving TV's away. What a pain. Something needs to give soon....college football is right around the corner. Yeah I know......college football is three months away, but I have got to look forward to something!! Blasted thing....just did it again.:mad:

I am a registered Republican, but only because I believe a vote for a third party candidate is a waste and the best way to affect change in the Republican party is from within. I am really libertarian in my views...small l not the party.

I love Dick Cheney and greatly admire and respect him. He will not, however, run for President and I would never vote for a Democrat......unless they suddenly became advocates for smaller government, fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and opposed abortion on demand, etc.
