  1. #1 Target is an equal opportunity employer..that means young, old, educated, non-educated, straight, gay, black, white or green. #2 WHAT THE HECK? Not advertising Christmas? The biggest shopping season of the year? Funny, every Target you would walk into has holiday decorations, Christmas things etc....and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! #3 The Salvation Army issue Target had to stick to their no-solicitation policy that they have. For years Target made an exception to that policy for the Salvation Army during the holiday season. And I agree It IS a shame that others groups have ruined it for the Salvation Army. A quote I found: ...." they "determined that if we continue to allow the Salvation Army to solicit, then it opens the door to other groups that wish to solicit our guests." I honestly think that it has to do with protecting Target guests from being bothered by the constant soliciting groups who want to annoy guests on their way in and out of the store. It's nothing AGAINST The Salvation Army --------------------- Edited....felt the guilt...needed to delete some mean spirited things :)
  2. ROFL...... Thanks lisajo For being who YOU are.....LOL I'm just to the point of "who gives a flying rats backside?".....
  3. LOL...once again you have redeemed yourself for the Kraft Blue Box (with extra cheese)....lol
  4. Hey kid~ you just blew it!Your mac and cheese dinner just went out the window! :wow:
  5. You know it's the little things you find out about the thoughts they had and the things they did...that just tie the lose ends a little bit more tighter in our beliefs. It's amazing to me that some people can't open thier minds to the possibility that the"other sheep" actually existed.
  6. I'm glad to see something done...told someone earlier today I was thinking of leaving for awhile..... Hearts just not in it anymore. I don't like the sour taste left in my mouth. Life has enough problems without adding to it with spam..
  7. There is no difference at all. Many have been fooled by The Godmakers, and many will be fooled by this schlock. Those who can think for themselves will not. B) B) ← Thanks for sharing that interview Outshined.... It's always nice to see the positive side of people. As for the difference in marketing scams..... I wish I could get ahold of those "testimonial" tapes and a good sledgehammer. In fact I think I'll go out and buy an Ozzy O cd today....just cause! You gotta stand for something....or fall for anything! In fact, I think I will email his fan club and tell them I have a new found respect for the man! :)
  8. WOW Outshined! THAT looks like it would be a fantastic concert! I'm sure that everyone had a great time......what an awesome dad!
  9. _______________________I have misinformed no one... I have informed. :) ← And I will politely disagree with you and be done with it.
  10. Yes, the man was Hindu....nothing wrong with that....he was a quiet, peaceloving, spiritual individual. Just because he didn't follow the mainstream does not make him a product of satan. geeeeeezIn fact, I think I would rather hang with a spiritual Hindu than I would those who call themselves Christian and have fun downgrading others for entertainment. Yes, but AS Christians....we should have our facts straight and not try to MISinform others......
  11. WHY is it funny? you answered it yourself Ray..because it's simply the way guys think. Woman forget sometimes that guys have a total different way of thinking...and they get upset when they watch or hear the little things that they do or say that really get to a female....than it's like "oh YEA!!!!!" ding light comes on and you realize...he's not bad....he's just a guy! RAY!!!!! did you just make a funny? :wow: !!!!!!!
  12. Great Thread! Thanks for starting it Serg :)
  13. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: The term evangelical has several distinct meanings: "In its original sense, it means "belonging or related to the Gospel" (Greek: euangelion - good news) of the New Testament. The term 'evangelical', in a lexical, but less-commonly-used sense, refers to anything implied in the belief that Jesus is the savior. The word comes from the Greek word for 'Gospel' or 'good news': ευαγγελιον evangelion. To be evangelical would then mean to be merely Christian, that is, founded upon, motivated by, acting in agreement with the good news message of the New Testament." So you see PC.... I thought that evangelical always meant to be of Christ. And yet I know that so many think of it as being Protestant. So I voted Born Again and Evangelical....
  14. ______________________Right on, sister! It will take us beyond where no man would dare to go. lol ← I would peg you for either a fem. or you've had bad experiences with a man/men.You often resort to "girl power". Not saying thats nessesaraly a bad thing, but I am seeing a pattern here. ← _______________________I could peg you for a chauvanist, or you've had bad experiences with a woman/women, but we're not supposed to judge. You often speak of "power". Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, unless it goes to your head...is that called male pattern baldness? ← ROFL "male pattern baldness?" Oh my aching sides........can't control the laughter....... LOL I guess you have never seen the man before? ROFLMHO
  15. Not a problem for me Please,,,I know how hard it is to believe in some people. Been there, done that, been burned...I understand. Trust is a precious commodity. As for believing her...I believe her yeah, I"ve been to new wards in a new area and had people see right through me, around me, etc... it's not a good feeling...so I know how she feels too. I talked to her a bit on chat...so I knew that she was pretty legit.
  16. Give me LOVE Give me LOVE Give me PEACE on earth Give me LIGHT Give me LIFE KEEP ME FREE from birth Give me HOPE Help me COPE, with this heavy load Trying to, touch and reach you with, heart and soul Thanks Pushka for sharing those satanistic words with us from that horrid man. I smile to remember George Harrison....one of my favorites A man who stood up for what he believes in And I won't think badly of him because "someone" says.
  17. Took the words right out of my mouth! YOU are so cool LisaJo! :)
  18. hey Karrie girl!Welcome to America! Culture shock from where you are from I know Tithing settlement is painless really, just a little talk with the bishop about your tithing, and where you are with it for the year. You could ask your Home Teachers some of these things you don't understand, I"m sure they could help you out :) It was a good question..... I'm full of questions myself sometimes :)
  19. The top two picks were IMHO just a little too radical for my liking. After all, there are good people of all faiths ...or non faiths....in this world. As much as I would want to have that dream of #'s 1 & 2.....Reality has to have a say in the matter to me..... I couldn't keep my children in a glass bubble, letting them only experience what I wanted them too, after a certain age...they have to be able to see the real world and those that live within it.I voted: Anyone who makes my child happy, and gives every appearance of being responsible, loving, and not at all likely to end up facing the outer darkness. I am a die hard .....,,, I never give up hope that things will turn out for the best, I'd just like to have that little edge over the last one...Anyone my child chooses.
  20. LOLHEY USN! Welcome back! :) Edited: I know better than to debate with ya over this...
  21. Do you Realize the drugs that man took?
  22. I was looking up a song to post on my blog...and remembered another great country song.....if you read and think about the lyrics..you may understand that we can only do our best while raising our children....in the end it's up to them to decide what they want in life. Try as we may...sometimes its all for naught. MAMA TRIED The first thing I remember knowing, Was a lonesome whistle blowing, And a young un's dream of growing up to ride; On a freight train leaving town, Not knowing where I'm bound, No-one could change my mind but Mama tried. One and only rebel child, From a family, meek and mild: My Mama seemed to know what lay in store. Despite all my Sunday learning, Towards the bad, I kept on turning. 'Til Mama couldn't hold me anymore. And I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole. No-one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried. Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied. That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried. Dear old Daddy, rest his soul, Left my Mom a heavy load; She tried so very hard to fill his shoes. Working hours without rest, Wanted me to have the best. She tried to raise me right but I refused. And I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole. No-one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried. Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied. That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried. (Merle Haggard)
  23. LOL Begood2.... And congrats on the honor Justlooking... Great Job WellDone! That was fun. :)
  24. LOL GURL.....I love it... had to use a few of those lines myself to my daughters b/f's.... PLUS a few of my own! Being the mom/dad was a chore at times....but it was kinda fun to watch them squirm....
  25. I think it's all in the way we present ourselves. talking to children is so much different than talking to adults. And I think we learn a lot from each other, but we are all different individuals with different levels of acceptance of HOW we chose to listen and learn. In your face methods are like hitting a brick wall head on to me.... I ain't going to go past that brick wall in my face. Remember...I'm a stubborn cuss at times.... edited: THANKS OUTSHINED! You made my day! :)
