I was thinking the exact same thing..... I had to answer the door with a shotgun once when I was living on a ranch in the middle of nowhere, everyone out rounding up the cattle, and rustlers were about.... left alone with no phone, no car and a baby to take care of. All I could think of was..... inside with body, inside with body. Scared the you know what out of him... later I find out he was the grandson of the ranch owner

Prince Warns People Not To Get Fat As Americans.
Lindy replied to Fiannan's topic in General Discussion
PE classes should include all levels of activities to include all children. Competitive sports just aren't for everyone, and there should be some alternatives given. I've read where golf is introduced to youngsters trying to install an interest in something they may enjoy later on in life. I would like to see an option of several things given to the youth as physical education activities, not just what the teacher or district determines is the cheapest or easiest to offer. We DO need to help mold our children, as a child I loved to play softball and running games that we had during PE/recess time, and I always felt bad for those that just stood around and did nothing (most didn't like to run...or perhaps couldn't run). Many children are used to getting away with things they don't like or don't want to do, and wait for something that will interest them before they make a move to do anything. Here is a school district that is trying to do something to help fight childhood obesity.... I was appauled when I first heard about it, but then I remembered those children standing around doing nothing because they didn't like to run. Right now, I have mixed feelings on this article. West Virginia puts video game in public schools to fight childhood obesity http://bodyandhealth.canada.com/channel_he...channel_id=2002 another good article: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...&type=printable -
I so agree with you Josie, too many people in the nation don't think of the commandments. I have sooo many scriptures about lies and falsehoods ....actually Just Looking started me looking them up awhile ago during a discussion about lies.

Sad, so very sad the greed and self indulgence that some people have without thought to anyone else. That poor truck driver will be scared for life knowing that he in some way was responsible for taking a life. The father will forever be reminded that his stupidity and greed took away something very precious in his life.

Prince Warns People Not To Get Fat As Americans.

Thanks mzb...amazing things we find out from people who work around certain products... I don't think that the prince (and I use that term loosly) has any room to make any comments about anyone else. Americans or not.... He could try to justify British foreign policies and all the coverups made, instead of "warning" the public about getting fat. http://www.worldpress.org/Europe/2008.cfm http://www.alenalki.com/mil_05/to_wise_up_03_05.htm -
I only agree with one of them....but that by no means makes me a liberal. I am so conservative I make people sick.....lol

LT~ I don't want to see you leave, you have been a rock for a lot of us here. And we look up to you BECAUSE of your values and standards. We may all fall short of where we should be in life, but it's good people like you who help us find our way back up. People can be stupid and childish and make life unbearable sometimes, but that is when we need to make a stand for what we believe is right. You took a stand for what you believe is right.... no one should question that...you did what you needed to do for the best of the board in your opinion. And we value your opinion, please don't think we don't. I will join the throng to wish you back ....... I love having you around...... Smiles, Lindy

If I collected Barbie dolls from around the world...yes I would buy it...it has it's own culture and class alongside the hoochy barbies we are so used to.

Thanks Scott for agreeing with my sentiments at least :), but I really don't care if it's a real marriage for the second wife or not... selfish of me yes! There were/ are? marriages of convience.... But the NO TOUCHY rules and regs will be strictly enforced. And if the hubby decided to have "relations' as his "right".... he would be out on his tush so fast .... and things would have to be delt with from there. There is a line drawn with "sharing" Any woman who needed a place to stay would have to abide by my rules, or go find someone a lot more lienent on "sharing".

Jason, my board friend..... If I ever give you the cold shoulder in the chat room....smack me!For everything else: I have found that forgiveness helps heal the worst hurts. Anger just festers up and distroys you from within.
-
I agree Heather... if it came down to taking care of another woman... I could understand that.. but rules and regs would be set down in a hurry....NO TOUCHY. But I don't need any Bling presents to make me feel good about it.... just love, loyalty and honesty within a relationship....and I'll be happy to share my life with someone else.... NO TOUCHY! and things will be fine.... :)

1) They have cleaner air than us- Yes they do....cept in the big cities...they have air pollution same as we do. 2) They are better at hockey than us!...... depends on the team you watch. 3) They ruined the Christian name Doug!..... ok I"ll give you that.... Doug is a Christian name? 4) They have flooded the American Lumber Market with cheap Canadian Lumber! .....as long as Canada wants to sell its lumber and the U.S. still wants to buy it. ....what's the big problem? Sounds like a political problem to me...the WTO, along with the NAFTA... all red tape, tarriffs, fines....what a messl tid bit I found...."As much as officials on both sides bluster and point their fingers across the 49th parallel, each country knows it is economically dependent on the other" http://www.canadiandemocraticmovement.ca/d...article801.html 5) They are world leaders in Zamboni technology!..... Ahhhh but the first Zamboni Machine, was invented in California in 1949. Granted there is a second plant in Brantford, Ontario, and a branch office Switzerland; But the main Zamboni plant is in Paramount, California...and it still is a family-run business. So, the USA can lay claim to the Zamboni! Yay US!!!!!!!!! 6) They're icon is a cross between the two things we hate the most, State Troopers and The British!...... I don't hate State Troopers! And I respect any British who stays out of Northern Ireland. 7) They have free health care!..... Sheeeesh not from what I hear....nothing is free! 8) Their beer stinks (except LaBatt Blue)! That's what I hear....lol...wait...what about Molson? 9) They use the Metric System! eeeeeekkkkk!!!!! 10) Some of them speak French! ...and German, and Korean, and Laotioan, and Spanish, and OMH...English! --------------------------------------- I don't hate Canada...... Good people in Canada....good people came from Canada.... good people run to Canada. I'm grateful for Canada in many ways. -
I have heard that South Africa is a great place to visit.. it would be fun to see the wild animals that others see on a daily basis. (from a distance...) .and I am all for history in any country. I really would like to get back to Washington DC and spend a week in the museums just absorbing some of our history. Then I would really like to go to Scotland and Ireland and see some of the things I have only read about.

Heather...the changes are great, thank you for all the thought you put into making things better fo us. This is a great place to meet, to greet and to learn about life and faith.

I think he just had to make a decision that was right for him, like we all have to do a time or two in our lives. Those who have appreciated his wit and wisdom should just wish him good luck and sign the guest book so he knows he will be missed by many of us.

Heather... I also thank you for giving us this great hangout. Keeps a lot of us out of trouble I would love to have the chance to do the e-card thing.... and I am sure that there are a lot who would love the chance to post pics and such on board. Thanks again for everything you do :)
