Moksha, you are amazing! Not even another guess. BTW... according to the "Church Almanac" Henry B. Erying was #95. Uchtdorf #96 Bednar #97 Cook #98 Christofferson #99 Anderson #100 Right? Did they subtract Richard R. Lyman?

Guess the Lord has spoken... Neal Anderson I was actually kind of hoping for Elder Hamula. Elder Anderson was a GREAT area president and saw great growth in the North America Southwest Area.

So today DW and I were walking down South Temple and Elder Christofferson was walking east toward the JSMB. My wife asked him if he thought he had his talk ready for conference. He said he hoped so. They bantered a bit, it was a cute exchange. Tomorrow should be wonderful

Newest Apostle will be the 100th of this dispensation.

Got some juicy news today. At the stake conference for the stake just to the north of us, they are getting a new stake president because he was called as a mission president. The presiding GA just informed the outgoing stake president that he would no longer be the presiding GA but that he would be coming with the newest apostle. So now I'm adding Wilford Anderson and James Hamula (along w/ Jay Jensen and Neil Anderson) to my list of possibilities for new apostle.

Polar shift might make Missouri the north pole... and then we'd be coming out of the north countries....

I once shook his hand and after I did he said, "Young man, you've just shaken the hand that shook the hand of Wilford Woodruff who shook the hand of Joseph Smith" I was probably 12 or 13 at the time and I never forgot it. I also sat behind the Tab Choir once and watched the red button light up a time or two while he was 'trying' to end one of his marvelous talks.

Seems like there are always "predictions" of what we'll all hear next week. Post your conference predictions here. Neal Anderson or Jay Jensen to the Q of the 12? or someone else? I'll be attending the Sat morn and Sun Aft. sessions with my sweetie (& priesthood) in the Conference Center. Should be wonderful!

Could someone show me an official LDS site where it suggests 72 hour kits? I've yet to see it.

How did you know! Here I am.

Most non-members don't have a clue about understanding Isaiah. Nephi read Isaiah and like you, knew it was talking about he and his people, that's why it is quoted so many times in the BOM.

I checked it out. I couldn't see a search box other than a google one anywhere. Oh well. -
Any bishop who is asking for a copy of a W-2 is out of line. I've known quite a number of women who are in your situation. I know of one sister who received an allowance from her non-member hubby to make purchases around the home. She said she wanted to give back 10% of that just for the blessings and her husband didn't have a problem with that. She was always very active and didn't have a job and as her bishop back then, I always considered her the giver of a full tithe.

Decide right now that you will live the Law of Chastity. It is the only way you will ever be happy. Move on.

We had to peak around the clouds here in AZ but it was still great.

I've seen this situation too many times than I would like to have seen it. Without any details, it's hard to give advise. I do know of one situation where the husband messed up and came back with a very repentant heart but the wife just would never forgive him. He has held in there strong for almost 20 years now. Of course, every situation is different. God bless the parties as they come to understand Our Saviour's love and what true repentance and true forgiveness is all about.

How wonderful! As you are confirmed and commanded to "receive the Holy Ghost" today, you will feel more of God's love. You now have the first key to unlock the doors of an eternity with Our Father and Our Savior. God bless.

Have you ever tried candling? Look it up on the internet. I think Walgreens sells kits.

I hope you'll let us know what your stake president says. I don't care if I ever hear another sports personality at a fireside, especially if they made their living on the Sabbath. For a doctor or nurse or fireman, I feel it is different. Those folks help keep people alive. Sports personalities do not. Steve Young once said that if he had it all to do over again, he would have gone on a mission and that probably would have made his life turn out different.... But the fact remains that he made his living primarily on the Sabbath. We need less of that. It's been quite some time since we've seen a Dale Murphy, Danny Ainge or Steve Young emerge and for that I am grateful. You mention that the other boys in the stake DO NOT participate on the Sabbath. Is it really that important that your son does if they don't? How often is your husband and son not in the ward? I have a niece who is a player on the BYU soccer team. Prior to BYU she often wouldn't show to the competitions if they were on the Sabbath. Team mates knew she would be playing on Friday and Saturday but that if the team was required to play on the Sabbath, she would not be playing. They respected her for that and she still played first string on Friday's and Saturdays. And for y'alls info, Our family did NOT watch the "super"bowl on Sunday. I enjoy watching a good football game and I've done that on Saturdays, Thanksgiving, Monday nights and the rare Thursday or Saturday game. We are called a peculiar people for a reason. I applaud those who take a stand and teach our people to take a stand when it comes to the Sabbath Day and the duties of the Aaronic Priesthood on the Sabbath Day. You make it sound like your husband's participation is very rare on the Sabbath, if that is the case then he needs to sit down with the stake president.

as stated previously, my wife is in love with his voice. Here's wishing I had that voice!

Micheal, congratulations. Did you ever go to the Temple prior to your resignation? If that is the case, you, your bishop and your stake president will need to write letters petitioning the First Presidency to have your temple and priesthood blessings restored.... that comes after at least another years wait after baptism (and sometimes it's longer). The important thing is to be positive and to have a good attitude.

...next time she sees a spirit, ask her what color is his hair. If it's sandy, you know it's the dark side. (from TPJS)

The funeral text is only a portion of what Joseph Smith had. The Book of Abraham is revelation from God, no matter where it came from. And that's the way it is. M

It will be a good weekend, but don't be surprised if adversity comes your way between now and then. Stay the course and remain strong. I will be attending a baptism on Saturday and then again for a different family that I have been teaching on Sunday. It should really be a great weekend.
