  1. I agree to that about the mangoes. The next best thing to the fresh mango is the dried mangoes. You can buy it in asian stores here in the US. Just look for a brand made in Cebu.
  2. Tagalog is both written language and a spoken one. Tagalog is the main dialect of the Filipinos. But there are other dialects spoken, like, Kapampangan, Ilokano, Waray, Cebuano, Pangasinense, Chabakano, Ilonggo, Bicolano to name a few. Filipino language used to be based on Tagalog but now, according to the Commission on Filipino language, Filipino is the indigenous written and spoken language of Metro Manila and other urban centers in the Philippines used as the language of communication of ethnic groups.[7] (Filipino language - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) . I'm glad there are lots of people here who know about the Philippines and its food. I used to eat balut but it's not good for your blood pressure.
  3. Congratulations!!! Now you are already in the gateway to our Heavenly Father's house. Continue to be diligent in keeping the commandments of God and He will direct you in everything you do. Remember, the road may get rough, but be mindful that our Savior Jesus Christ is always on your side. God bless you and congratulations again!!!
  4. The patriarch has a small recorder usually on his shirt pocket and he turns it on to record the blessing he is giving. He then plays it back and types the blessings he pronounced and sends it to Salt Lake and sends you a copy of your PB. That's how I got mine.
  5. Owsar, I don't know if this will help but I am putting a link from FAIRLDS.ORG about a church historian, Davis Bitton not having a testimony of the church history. I Don't Have a Testimony of the History of the Church If you can convince your husband to read it he may see that he should not have a testimony of the church history also.
  6. Welcome Babette. I was from the Philippines also but now I live in Tennessee USA. I have one child and one on the way coming this April. I used to live in Balanga, Bataan and I served my mission in Cebu. Welcome again!
  7. O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish. But to be learned is good IF THEY HEARKEN UNTO THE COUNSELS OF GOD.
