  1. As I have said before: (As the Holy Spirit has instructed me) the time for obedience is coming to an end. The time is coming for the metamorphosis from the human nature into the divine nature will make obedience obsolete.
  2. Now that is an example of the fabulous excellence and loving kindness that confirms for me that the LDS church is the one true church of Christ.
  3. I keep saying the the Holy Spirit is telling me this and everyone keeps responding as if it is my idea. Does this mean that everyone here thinks that I am the Holy Spirit?
  4. None-the-less the Holy Spirit is telling me that agreeing to obey the Law of Chastity, the Law of Tithing, and the Word of Wisdom is wrong for me and I should not ever do this. Between what he says and what anyone else, (even everyone else) says, I will listen to him. That is of course the way that it should be.

  7. So we are back again to literal meaning: Galatians 5:14 (NRSV) For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ Absolutely positively 100% of all of the whole law is summed up in the single commandment: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
  8. The Holy Spirit is telling me that agreeing to obey the Law of Chastity, the Law of Tithing, and the Word of Wisdom is wrong for me and I should not do this. It is OK that I agree to obey Love One Another. Do you see what I mean by literally now?

  10. That is great that you see things the same way that the Holy Spirit is telling me that they are. One thing that I do that is rare among most people, is that I speak literally. Almost everyone uses degrees of figures-of-speech in what they say, I do not. When I say that the only thing that I am allowed to agree to obey is to Love One Another, I mean this literally. I am not allowed to agree to obey the Law of Chastity, the Law of Tithing, or the Word of Wisdom. If this is good enough I will be baptized ASAP.
  11. Within the context of the literal meaning of the following verse the first and second commandment are saying the same thing: Matthew 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
  12. I don't know. It seems that the Holy Spirit has told me not to agree to obey anything besides the greatest commandment: (essentially) Love one another. As soon as this is enough I will be baptized.
  13. The title of this thread is about building bridges to other denominations of Christ. Within this context it is better to speak to people using a basis that they already accept. Here is a list of my favorite LDS Scripture: 2 Nephi 2:11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. 2 Nephi 2:25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy. Moroni 10:4 I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit shared the essential meaning of the first three of these with me long ago, long before I had any contact with LDS or LDS scripture. 3 Nephi 11:29 For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another. The last verse has been the most transforming scripture that I have ever read, and it is so much more powerful when I can see that LDS members take this so much to heart, and thus form such excellent role models for me to conform to.
  14. It is often less accurate because it uses an obsolete form of the English language. For example the term "God forbid" used extensively in Romans, has nothing at all to do with God forbidding anything. The literal meaning of the original Greek actually means {can not possibly occur}. There are some instances where the KJV is the only correct translation: Isaiah 45:6-7 KJV
  15. “By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them” (New Revised Standard Version) Galatians 5:22-23 “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” All of Christianity, and later the whole world will become united by this simple measure of Righteousness.
  16. God could in a single instant unite all things to himself. To do this without destroying agency is a little trickier.
  17. It seems that what I have said about God's wrath is coming directly from God himself, and thus not merely the opinion of a mortal man. I mention these things here because I know that the LDS Church is the most righteous church on Earth, and thus much more apt to hear the actual real message than anyone else.
  18. New International Version (NIV) Mark 13:19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again. New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) Mark 13:19 For in those days there will be suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, no, and never will be. If you notice the difference between the first mistranslation and the second translation you may see what I mean. God's Love always made perfect sense, unlike God's wrath which is becoming (or has become) obsolete. If what I am saying is true your prophet will eventually confirm it.
  19. Which ones do you think have not yet been fulfilled? (Some of them were intended to be cancelled from the beginning).
  20. Three degrees of glory makes sense to me, or maybe more aptly three types of glory each best fitted for different types of people.
  21. Maybe you are right, yet I think that he might be free to change these things at any time. I am working on practicing my humility. Our local LDS Church has the kindest people that I have ever known, and form my best role models of humility.
  22. It seems that the spirit may be prompting me that the thousand years of perfect** peace may be coming very soon, (next month?, next year?) and Armageddon is going to be skipped. **best possible, thus not total Who here is open to the possibility of the truth of this? I know that the LDS Church is the most righteous church on Earth.
