    Can I drink this?

Caffeine free - would that be okay? or decaf coffee?
  3. I think for me it's the other way round - that the music and way I am will prevent the church from offering me anything. It's not like I listen or do anything bad - I listen to folk music and dress little hippie-ish. Yeah, I suppose so. I guess it's just a fear of the unknown. From what I have seen and have heard - I have made judgements. Yet cannot prove or disprove these, because I've made myself doubt.
  4. I feel the same way, which I think is one of the main reasons for never taking my faith to the next step. I feel like the outer person I am - the way I dress, music I listen to etc etc doesn't fit with the Mormon way of life However, I have never been brave enough to actually go and ask a Mormon what their "way of life" is.
  5. Thanks guys, looking forward to getting to know people!
  6. Hello - I joined the forum a year ago, although then felt overwhelmed with trying to work out faith, that I never came back online. Since that time, I have still always been thinking about the LDS church and really want to make a go of looking into it. I have struggled with faith throughout my lfe, mainly because have not been able to find the right church, or right community. I want to seek God and need to seek God. Hopefully, I will stick around the forum and find the answers to my questions, and hopefully find a new way of living and a group of new friends!

    Hello

Hey everyone, I'm Aria from the UK. A little bit about me - well, I did not grow up in a Christian household. My family are not religious in any sense. For me, I have always known that there is something greater than us out there, but it has taken me forever to feel comfortable with my faith - even so, I have still not found the right 'church' for me. I have looked into many - Anglican, Protestant, Catholic, Methodist, Unitarian - but, I still have not found something that settles my soul. I first heard about the Church of Latter day Saints when I was 15, and I studied it at school. Since then, it has always meant something to me, but even though I looked into it a hundred times, I never took it further because I was afraid of going into something by myself - by that I mean no friends, or family knew anything about the church. Now, eleven years later, I still look into the church and want to know more. It still brings up he same feelings, and I just hope this time I look into it further and make some big changes in my life. I have been going to a Pentecostal church lately - I love it, but it doesn't give me the peace I know the right place will. So, that leads me to today. Earlier some Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on my door, and as I was thinking about them I am sure God directed me to this website. Sorry, about the long into - and if you actually read it then thanks! I hope to stay around here, have my questions answered, have new things to think about, make new friends, and hopefully take my next step into what God wants me to :)
  9. A friend and I have been asking a lot of people this recently - people who work in the Protestant church. A friend of mine who is an Anglican Vicar and he said that the egg came first. Seeing that babies start off as 'eggs' it is only sensible to think that a chicken would start out as a new creation and be born into the world, as we all are.
  10. When I hurt my leg, the only OTC pain relief that worked for me was codeine, although it's supposed to only be used for a short period. I usually stick to Ibuprofen if I need something, but with my leg nothing else worked.
