To answer this. I look it as both choice and not. You don't choose who you fall in love with or begin to have feelings for (at least I can't choose, and if you can please explain to me how you do it). But you have the CHOICE to do what you want with it. So in a way homosexual is a choice. The feelings are not a choice, but your actions are. You can be a guy and have a huge crush or even love a guy, but choose nothing to do about it. In my personal opinion I think the bible is talking about choosing to make the choice to act upon the same sex. Not having the feelings for the same sex. Sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with, but you can help what you do with it. Whether its choosing to act upon the love or trying to ignore it as best as you can.

Thanks guys! You all helped a lot.

Yes, I am looking at the books myself. I am not sure what pointed my in that direction. it's just what he said.

It make me feel like he thought it was his church and not Gods. Because when he said: "The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” The way I see it is if they run away from him they are really running away from his church and not Gods. But if the LDS left the church wouldn't they be running away from Jesus too? He makes it just seem like its his church.

Why did Joseph Smith say this: “I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam... Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” I found it in History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Volume 6 (page 408 - 409). If you don't own it I found a preview on google books. History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Google Books Please help me understand because this just makes me feel like he's being a little prideful and it makes me really wonder if this is the true church. Why would he say such a thing?

Personally me I could careless if he was Mormon or an RM. So yes I would date him as long as he respected my standards of what appropriate for dating in the LDS world

Yeah I know. I turned it in before the priority deadline and they said they would get back to me in 6 weeks. Its been six weeks and 5 days.
-
No but I feel like sleeping in or I have to pinch myself to keep myself awake. I am sure you're not the only one especially when church attendance drops by 10 to 20 % when you switch to 9am

Okay so I am having troubles keeping calm and not screaming. I am still waiting to hear back from BYU-I and LDSBC on whether I am getting in, but its taking forever. So I keep forming the conclusion they don't want me. Yeah... Anyways I have bad teenage angst and senioritis. I am cranky and moody all the time and constantly feel horrible. I think this may be affecting my decision on which college I want to go to. 6 days ago I was super excited to go to BYU-I because I wanted to leave home and get away from my atmosphere so I can focus on learning if the church is actually true or not. But for 4 days now. I don't know if I even want anything to do with it and I want to lay down in bed and never get out. What do I do!
-
Pray. I am in the same situation. No clue what school I want to go to and I don't have long to decide. I am going back and for between BYU-I, LDSBC, or some other college. Its difficult! I would pray and maybe fast. I am getting loans to pay for college because I too am on my own.

As long as their not making out lol, but I have never seen anyone do this. I think people need to get over them selves (Sorry). Come from a 17 year old girl when I see old couple cuddling or even wives rubbing husbands back, but more to the older couples I think that's what I want my future relationship to be like at their age. Don't take it away!!! I think it's sweet and adorable.

Thanks guys. Now I just have to wait for my acceptance, which is taking for ever!!

Not the most important thing on my list, its second/third
-
As long as it doesn't lead to marriage, okay. I'm afraid I'll get all giddy in the mind and I won't be able to say no I need to focus on more important things than marriage.
-
Okay so I am suppose to be getting my acceptence letters into BYU-I and Ldsbc. I haven't even been accepted yet and I am already looking at approved housing... Getting my hopes up for nothing, most likely. But who knows? Especially with the age change in the missionaries maybe I will get into the track I want. Anyways everyone or almost everyone tells me girls get married with in their first year of LDS College. My problem is. I don't want to get married young, and I want to get through college and then married. I really don't want to be getting married at 18 or 19. I refuse. Are they right? Guys are only looking for marriage? I don't know what to do...

Okay, true, but no I have not spent anytime with him, but I have heard a lot about him. I don't feel the time is right to begin speaking to him.

I am 18 in 4 months, I dated a guy before, but that was a huge mistake and I hope to never make that mistake again. I do have a life, lol. I have a job and am currently running back and forth between two schools. I would not say I am completely awkward with the opposite sex, just the ones I like. I can be myself around other guys, and the guys I like once I get use to them being there. I drill the law of chastity into. In fact I fear dating because I am disparately afraid to break it. He is Mormon and so far I can see myself marrying him. Not sure what the chatterbox is.. I think I covered everything you talked about.

oops sorry, but yeah they have a month to gather 25,000 signatures to be considered.

Romney was never going to win. The world has become to corrupt and they see the bad as the good and the good as the bad. I fear a civil or World War coming because many people are unhappy with the results. I am not sure if any of this is true, but we will eventually find out: 1. Many people changed others votes to Obama's 2. Many people voted twice 3. People voted who were not eligible to vote 4. 15 states have filed for petitions to secede

I got the feeling you were against it in this one. It just saddened me when I looked at it. I want to know who did it so I can complain lol. I'll just complain at the money making people for now -
