  1. First Sin started the thread with incorrect information and receives several replies to correct the posters misinformation and also request of where the poster had received the information. But it became obvious that the poster really had no desire to learn the Gospel and was dealt with. In accordence with Matthew 7:6 ".... neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they be trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." It can also be found in 3 Nephi 14:6 and again in the D&C 41: 6 Could we have been better missionaries? Perhaps. Maybe if the poster had a sincere heart. But there is no sense doing missionary work with a person who will trample it under their feet. In First Sin's own words "he is a member in ........ and has since moved to ......." He has made his own choices & seems to love to blame others for them. He also chooses to go into the chatroom & attack what is very dear to many of us. He does not like to be corrected either......
  2. Oh man, Dr T & Mrs S You two are hilarious
  3. Thanks for those tips Maureen.. I will defenitly remember those & try them out... My baby at this moment sleeps through everything.. But there has been the odd evening where he takes longer to sleep & wants to be held rather than lay in his bed.. So your tips will come in very handy then.. lol As for the sleeping sitting up - I have almost got that down.. lol
  4. That is what I say too It is always great to hear.. I like that you say that you are "continuing to grow and learn".. Not many people do - so it is great to hear that too.. I too am continuing to grow & learn in many aspects of my life
  5. Dr T.. This is excellent.. Very well put
  6. Thanks Monika, mom_of_jcchlsm, shanstress70, sf & nate.. You have all mentioned a few very interesting bits of info & advice.. I always find it interesting to hear what works for others.. lol.. That way I keep my options open I guess.. Yes Nate, I have even heard that a few parents do actually medicate their little ones... Not that I would - unless when travelling long distances (maybe).. I guess I have been one of the lucky ones.. We only get woken up (and I do say "we" because hubby also gets up allot for baby) max twice a night.. We did have to work hard to get to that though.. lol.. Thanks again.. Now on to teathing.. lol... I just like to get in early with my "research" as far as baby goes.. That way I am not caught off guard.. lol
  7. Aw man.. I guess there is my little bubble burst.. lol
  8. For those who don't know me.. I am a very vey new first time mommy (22 days old)... I am doing a little bit of reading into getting baby to sleep through the night.. I know that it is still very much early days at the moment.. I am still adjusting to the decreased amount of sleep at the moment.. It has amazed me how much you can actually do while you are still half asleep (lol) I was just wondering what worked for others & what didn't etc.. And advice would be most welcome And was there anything that you learnt the hard way with your first that nobody told you? (lol.. I guess I am taking the easyish way out by asking that one)
