I met my wife in early-morning seminary when we were 14. When a friend introduced me to her, I was impressed by how pretty she was. She had just moved into the stake. Shortly after that we were in a stake play together (Brigadoon), and we became friends. We dated for a year during our junior year starting on her 16th birthday. About a year later, my dad suggested we should break up, since he thought we were too young to be dating steadily, so I prayed about it and broke her heart. Years later, she forgave me. We got married about a year after I returned from my mission. I am a very blessed man.

I think it was Nibley who suggested that the Maji were descendants of people whom Lehi may have had contact. They knew to watch for a star as the sign of the Messiah's birth. Lehi saw that detail. Maybe he bore that testimony to others along the way to Bountiful.
I read a book a few years back, that suggested the three wise men were the brothers Nephi and Lehi, accompanied by Samuel the Lamanite - all three of whom apparently vanished from Nephite history a few years before Christ's birth. As I recall, the book claimed the darker skin of Samuel may offer an explanation for the legend behind the dark-skinned wise man known later as Balthasar. If I remember correctly, the book was called From the East. If anyone is interested, here is a link that discusses some of the same evidence as the book. Thoughts?

There is cause to believe the two witnesses were Joseph Smith and Hyrum Smith - two members of the First Presidency in 1844.
In part of Joseph's translation of Revelation, he translated 1260 "days" as 1260 "years". You can look up the Day-year principle for more information on how several other faiths believe this to be a valid principle, even though they don't accept Joseph's translation. Years back, I documented some of the extensive scriptural foundation for the day-year principle in a book called 1844 in Prophecy - Part 1.
Also, year 1260 of the Muslim calendar ended in what we know as the year 1844. I also wrote about this and the timelines in Revelation in a book called 1844 in Prophecy - Part 2.

Perhaps not.
The 1260 days of Rev 11 are more likely meant to be understood as 1260 years. Compare the 1260 "days" of Rev 12:6 and the 1260 "years" of the Joseph Smith Translation in Rev 12:5
In a parallel vein, consider the day-year principle in prophecy, suggested by numerous Christian and Muslim readers of Bible prophecy.
