Its history it is there and we aren't hiding it and there are bad things in history everywhere and usually not advertised......... I love the obscure facts, bits of info about things so love history good or bad. I am a convert and don't find anything in our history to sway my beliefs. Honesty is the best policy. If someone is getting bad info spill the beans first openly and honestly it deflates their points.

Distractions boy we have so many of them. Nothing in our church history changes any fact of what I believe. Just like all the things that happened to me in my past they contribute to who I am now but they are not me here and now....... Speaking of history----- have any of you read " The fate of the prosecutors of Joseph Smith" my mom had it when I was a teenager , wouldn't let me read it.

Thanks X I know what you mean --I understand we chose our path on this earth, Our parents anyway and the probability of problems we now have. We were so excited and sure we could overcome anything to be back with our father in heaven. We knew we could do it. Now the reality is we struggle and we forgot for a time how we felt before we chose this life. I know this and for me it is working through all the crap {apologies} to get to be that excited faith filled person who knew she could do it.

H--- I understand what you are saying. Women and blacks were not protected under the constitution. Yes by the way it was written but not by laws of the day. People who are homosexual , their rights are already protected under the constitution and the laws of the land as a citizen of the United States. If we go that way then we have to look at other beliefs or lifestyles and their rights....... I so understand but don't express so well. The constitution must be upheld it is what separates us and makes us .

Welcome ....... my son is just graduating high school nd goes to boot camp Aug 19. He is Army National Guard for now. Your story reminds me of something I learned long ago. You are so lucky to find such a wonderful woman. We look forward to you being here.

I am on board with you and I have not been in law enforcement. I have seen the horrible things done by others and I won't even share all with my hubby because its enough for me to have to endure. We have firearms. We have always taught our children gun safety and love going target shooting. We also hunt. We live in the country and would not be without protection in case of a need. State Police are at least an hour away. With budget cuts sometimes longer. I believe I am not going against any church teachings as I am following the laws.

I get we need to make sure all are fed. What else are you trying to say???? At this time there is not an abundance and sadly it is beginning to cause problems for many. so your point........

Its not just our church. I think it is normal to not want to hash over past negatives only to concentrate on the positives. Its not trying to be deceitful or anything. The past is to be learned from and then let go of. Not to forget but to know its done and the here and now is where we need to concentrate. Givin that I love history so go figure............
