{I have been inactive and still have a testimony, how much bigger and stronger would it be if I attended church} I think a lot of us struggle with this who have such a strong testimony of the church and don't attend for whatever reason. I know I do. Thanks for sharing. I agree with you completely.

Have any of you watched Link TV it is a European station that shows world events daily. Right now food prices in Europe are so very high , Greece is having a money crisis going to market. In our country Costco is only allowing 4 bags of rice per purchase due to projected shortages. Farm land that once was used for food is producing the Ethanol additive to gasoline. Prices in my area are going up weekly and our gas prices are the highest in the nation. During the fires in Southern California this last year stores were closed and there was no access to groceries for at least 2 days where my daughter lived. The US Government has started emergency preparedness programs since the disaster in Louisiana. I am not saying the sky is falling I am saying we have been warned and should do our best to be prepared I remember the last recession do you all..... :hippie:peace happiness and preparedness to you all

Wait a minute we can do work in the spirit world ... we can change if we choose we can grow the only thing we cannot do is perform ordinances. I believe people who are Christians will get exactly what they expect but sadly they will also learn it could be so much more.

There was a reason why God sent Jesus and the plan would not have been complete without him. It seems to me that before Jesus came those in the church of that day became to puffed up in judgement and obedience was subjective to who you were. Jesus and his teachings are just the rest of the story.......

This is one of those subjects I leave to God. I give my love and support to everyone and I can do that without agreeing with what they do. It is not our place to judge and it is a bit confusing to me but I have total faith in our Father in Heaven to work it out.

Proverbs 31:10 to 31 Who can find a virtuous woman? gives me goals.. Ecclesiastes chapter 3 1 to 8 of course "to everything there is a season" but the rest of the chapter really is great. Isaiah 61:1-3 which goes with Luke 4: 16-24 Matthew 6: 8 -15 The lords prayer -- have said it since I was a child Matthew 7 the whole chapter BOM Jacob 4: 4-5 Moroni Chapter 7 These are but a few just looking thru my scriptures. Different scriptures speak to me different times. I love reading proverbs and Isaiah. :hippie:peace to you all

Ninja turtles :} Welcome there is a younger group sometimes I can't tell the difference in the posts enjoy.

Things that happened during my activity helped me choose to be inactive again. The well meaning couple who set me up with a great guy {their thought} who became a stacker and wouldn't leave me be. The relief society pres who told me I couldn't have any of their husbands. Judgements, gossip, and backbiting all that happen in any church helped to keep me from coming. That is the people not the church, the church is pure it is the one thing I know for sure in this life. As I have gotten older I don't let the negative at church bother me I let it go and when I am there I do my best to enjoy the moment .

Have similar problems I think in general for me its satan's way to keep me completing my tasks. Its the nature of man to want to do the easy thing. I try to use this site and my online activities as a reward for doing the things I don't want to do. I do 15 to 30 minutes of yucky work and reward the same with my online stuff. I was told once to get the unpleasant stuff done right away and enjoy the rest of the day. I try but don't always achieve . I think for me it is one of those growing things I will overcome someday. :}

For me my inactivity wasn't about my faith. I know the church is true always have and always will. Not all my family are members. I had an abusive childhood. I got pregnant and married to escape. For me it has always been the battle that I am too damaged , I don't relate to the sisters very well although I have always been blessed with wonderful visiting teachers and home teachers. My husband wasn't a member and when we divorced 10 years later there was a whole new stigma, I was active and inactive my whole life. I have had wonderful callings during my activity and remarried an inactive member his inactivity since a young child. Feeling your less than or don't belong is a big obstacle one I recognize as Satan but I battle with daily. Then when I do come to church I get treated like I don't know anything and I am one of the most active inactives I know. I am a member whether there or not and read my scriptures, pray etc. Its my battle I will win someday. Peace and Happiness to you all
