I suspect you are likely more concerned with the same sex part. Note I left that part open as I’m not sure the loc states two Mormon people of the same sex absolutely are not allowed to kiss. According to this link below, homosexual behavior is a sin and stipulates members so inclined are ok so long as they don’t violate the loc. The loc states in regards to kissing that “ passionate kissing” is a violation. I am not too sure there are any rules against this. It is said we are to obey the law of chastity. Is kissing violating that? Probably not. I have never heard of a straight up kiss requiring a confession to the bishop. As for the same sex/ gay thing. Probably the same rule applies. Have not heard any different. As soon as you leave first base as in hetero relationships then I guess confession is in order. Go ask. You may have a whole new problem on your hands esp if your parents don't know so there's that too. I imagine most bishops will tell your parents if you are a minor. You may want to approach your parents first if you are a minor. Growing up in a home with bishop and on up level priesthood, I can tell you my father grew rather tired of people lined up to confess stuff that didn't need to. It is an education issue. Im thinking no need but others may think yes go see him bases on the same sex aspect. No one really went there.

Agreed, but this stuff gets proof-read a lot and the several people likely to be doing that you would think would point out things and say...uh what exactly do you mean to say here? Of course as is common in many organizations is that the lower level people are afraid to criticize, offer advice or opinion so maybe a proof reader would be of no help in this case. Don't work there so who knows. There was a GA back in the day (poleman?? SP) who had to go back an re-record a conference talk and they pulled the old one so maybe no one looks at this stuff first. You know- correlation.

I am curious how you feel about policy v doctine and if policy can be considered to be "of God." The ban apparently was not by way of revelation but the lifting of it was as stated in Declaration #2. According to the Gospel Topics Essay on Priesthood ban for Blacks, the church states the ban was not of Doctrine, but of policy. Of course in keeping with LDS tradition all we have to do look back and there are many references to the ban being from God. No mention of policy v doctrine ( at least none I found). I wonder if there is a difference.

I guess the question is: When will this usage cease to be a major win for satan? I would think if it is still a win for satan then the websites and anything else deemed to be a victory for satan would go dark until they could figure out how to roll out this change.

Determination/definition of income would be an interesting thread. I do not believe the ten percent portion of tithing is ever really an issue with someone, but the determination of income/interest is with some. I never really considered it an issue until I ended up with family /church history in my possession and did some reading. I have had my eyes opened to some interesting stuff. Every bit of it spoken or written by LDS leadership and it contradicts itself all over the place. Like the essays, it brings information to light that challenges the teachings we have received.
