  1. Awesome!! I love the feeling after cleaning my fridge out. It's the same as when I vacuum. It makes me feel proud... I know I'm strange.
  2. My good news: Last night we purchased a new (to us) washer and dryer!! Yay, no more trips to the laundry mat!!!
  3. I think you mean President Monson. .. And yes it was really awesome. He seems to have a way with addressing groups of people.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you weren't supposed to officially wait for a missionary. (because it distracts them from their Mission if they are thinking about the girl they left behind all the time.)I wouldn't know though, I married a guy I met while he was serving a mission in my home ward... goodluck
  5. That sounds cozy GG!! I probably would have done the same, but I couldn't pass up a chance to go to the Conference Center. To feel of the wonderful Spirit there. To just be in the presence of the Prophet and his counselors, and all the wonderful women that attended was amazing. It's a feeling I won't soon forget. I now feel fortified to go and do. To be a woman is to be an instrument in the hands of God. We have a great responsibility, and I feel prepared now more than ever to accomplish what I'm here to do. I truly feel the Spirit of Sisterhood now. PinkPanther
  6. I just got back from Womens' Conference. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the conference center and see the speakers live. It was amazing. The talks were amazing and very focused on being united as women. Also what our role is, the responsibility we have as women, and what we are ordained for on this earth. President Monson was the concluding speaker and was funny and uplifting as usual. The thing that stuck out to me was a quote he said about service. "We should not pray for tasks within our abilities, but for abilities to accomplish tasks." It may not be word for word, but it's something like that. It was amazing when we sang along with the choir. The sound was beautiful. Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience. Anyone else feel free to as well, whether you were there or watching by broadcast. PinkPanther
  7. Oooo... yes, this was fun.... I was there too!! I remember one of the questions was: Are you wearing a dress? There were only a couple of ladies. And they got a bunch of points for that one.
  8. I have come to appreciate my husband even more the last few days... I have been in Oregon visiting his family and am missing him a lot. He has 4 sisters and 2 are married and one is living with her boyfriend and are engaged... They are all having serious problems with thier husbands.... and often talk of how hard married life is.... and how much work it is.... I feel for them. My sweetheart is affectionate, giving, strong, hardworking, sensitive to my needs, smart, funny, pretty much perfect for me. I don't know what I would do if he had any of the problems his sisters men are having. I love him more everyday.
  9. When I first thought about this, I was struck with the knowledge that to achieve the Celestial Kingdom, we must be sealed to a spouse. I beleive Jesus was probably married to Mary Magdelene and they probably had children. I also agree with Yediyd, that it's not significant to our salvation, and to protect Mary Magdelene.
  10. Men are the head....Women are the neck.... we control which way the head moves!!!!
  11. Aww!! Thanks ladies, I'm sorry I haven't posted much on the other board. I've been travelling a lot lately and I'm in Oregon now at my Inlaws, awaiting a new niece.... Any day now.... It's good to be here.
  12. I'm 27, married, no children yet!!! But we're having fun trying.... I've been an active member in the LDS church since 1999.... I love learning about other religions and my own....
