Over43 Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 Now that we are a month away from the Beijing Olympics I'm hoping that whoever the provider is in the States will take some time and give us some Olympic Weighlifting coverage. Spending my "wonder years" in the 70's watching the Wide World of Sports I became familiar with Vassily Alexeev and the other European lifters. The 90's were exciting while Naim Sulyeymanoglu was lifting as well as a lifter from Greece. Anyway, I doubt too many people are up on this, but thought I'd drop a post on the subject. pam Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 Unfortunately I think the network bringing us the Olympics will go with the sports that will bring in the viewers.
