HyperShadow Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 I stumbled upon this site as I was looking around at different resources and sites to help my studies. I browsed a few threads and discussions and it seems like an awesome place here, and I hope my experience here will be too. Right now in life, I'm working to pay off the rest of my mission fund, almost 3/4 the way there as of now. I am preparing myself to serve a full time mission. I've been reading the Preach My Gospel manual like crazy and its such an awesome resource! I had my interview with my Bishop last week to become an Elder, and awaiting my Stake President interview shortly. I was nervous in the Bishop interview, I cant imagine the Stake President one, >_<. Anyway, Hello to you all! -HyperShadow Quote

HyperShadow Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 I am happy to see a young man preparing so diligently. Missions are a wonderful thing and a special responsibility. You sound like you are catching the vision of that now!!!I know! I have caught that! I dont think I've ever been this excited, I mean like, my whole life it was like "Yeah, I'll serve a mission" and think nothing of it. But now that its so close, its crazy! I just want to learn all that I can right now until I turn 19 (April), and be ready to serve! XD, got a little carried away. My friend left for his mission a few months ago, and that made me excited, he is so lucky to be out right now. Of course I wont see him for a long time, seeing how I'll be on my mission for two years then I could see him. I just want to read my Book of Mormon and Preach My Gospel nonstop for some reason, of course work and sleep wont let me, .woo hoo! Quote
HyperShadow Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 Yes yes I will, I will switch between all the scriptures, I have plenty of time to re-read them a bunch of times. Quote

My son has about one year to his mission... he is swtill playing cs and he ahs to consentrate to his studies , last year in High School. He isa very good guy, but sometimes I worry as he dont seem to be interested in reading about gospel... hmm, maybe I worry too much.- I am so in to this myself ..' Anyway well come! Enjoy! Let us knowwhere you are going for mission! Quote
HyperShadow Posted August 22, 2008 Author Report Posted August 22, 2008 Yeah, I graduated earlier this year, and basically all I do with the gospel was church and seminary. I didnt think too much of my mission, just that it will be happening soon. Then my friend left on his and I knew I had to be prepared. I guess, dont force him, people hate being forced doing things. I bet that he will soon realize what he needs to do. I've played CS, and I still play video games on a daily basis, thats going to be hard to not have then for 2 years XD haha. Good luck with your son and thank you! Quote
