There is a big difference between someone with a food storage and someone who is a habitual hoarder whose got every corner of their home stuffed with rotting food that is bringing pests into the neighborhood.

The difference is pretty obvious to see. I would hope so anyway.

EO #10998--Federal seizure of all food supplies and resources, public and private and all farms and equipment;

"HAWAII REVISED STATUTES REVISED 1997, Title 10:

(1) Prevention of *hoarding, waste, etc. To the extent necessary to prevent hoarding, waste, or destruction of materials, supplies, commodities, accommodations, facilities, and services, to effectuate equitable distribution thereof, or to establish priorities therein as the public welfare may require, to investigate, and any other law to the contrary notwithstanding, to regulate or prohibit, by means of licensing, rationing, or otherwise, the storage, transportation, use, possession, maintenance, furnishing, sale, or distribution thereof, and any business or any transaction related thereto."

These laws give the government authority to say you have too much and seize it under the guise of spreading it around to those who didn't prepare.

That is not the type of "hoarding" that this law addresses, in my opinion.

This is the government's option to decide arbitrarily, 'Hey! You have A WHOLE YEAR's SUPPLY OF FOOD IN THERE?~! That's TOO MUCH!"... and then confiscate it or break into your home under the guise of "checking it out."

Dangerous, in my opinion...
