I am not a runner. Never have been a runner, but I have a goal to run 6 miles by the end of June. Any tips, suggestions, or other means of assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Am I giving myself enough time to complete this very insane goal of mine?

Go to The Runner's World 8-Week Beginning Runner's Training Program

This is an excellent 8 week program designed to get you running two miles at a comfortable 30 minute pace. Then you can move on to their Smart Coach tool for a more customized workout program. Let me know how it works out!

Go to runnersworld.com. Click on the TRAINING link at the top of the page. Click on BEGINNERS on the left side of the page and then click on GETTING STARTED. About half way down the page you will find the link "Beginner's Training Program".

I am still running. Well maybe more like jogging. I am not up to 6 miles yet, so it doesn't look like I'll make my goal. :o( :o(

But the fact that I am still doing it makes me happy!!! There is a 5k in August and I know that I will be able to do it.

I would love to run... I just got back from a track meet with my daughter.... problem I have to get rid of the two sand bags slowing me down on my backside...:} I will run as I get rid of them ... but after watching today I can't wait to run again.....
