I'm a convert to the Church and have been a member 40 years this coming September 6. I joined in El Paso, Texas and served as a missionary in the California Oakland mission, spanish speaking. I've got a great wife and 5 kids and 4 grandkids. I'm an architect, and have had the opportunity to work on many church buildings and temples. I live in a middle-class house, in a middle-class subdivision, but surrounded by multi-million dollar homes.....can you guess where I live? Joking aside, I new the gospel was true from the moment I heard the Joseph Smith story and the Plan of Salvation. Since I joined the church, I've had almost 40 years of activity. Roland Posted February 28, 2009 Report Share Posted February 28, 2009 Dear Zowieink, I´m in a similar situation, converted, 3 daughters 1 grandchild. Thank you for beeing a missionary. I was too old when the curch found me. The missionaries are one of the most impressing facts in the church. Now my daughter is serving a mission at Temple Square and Kalamazoo / Lansing Mission / Michigan. She loves her mission.
