Newcomer4831 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Possibly one of the greater books I've read. It's a Hindu scripture about duty and life. Quote
Berean Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I have read some of this but would like to read more...I have read and really like the Tao Te Ching. I like its message about humility, non-conformity, and "work." Quote
NeuroTypical Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 I read a little of it in a comparative relitions class at college, and also a class in LDS Seminary. The immortal Simpsons wav on the subject. Quote
mustang90 Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 I've read the Bahagavad Gita and much of the Tao Te Ching. The BG was good, but not as great as so many had made it out to be, but thats just my thought. The Tao Te Ching is cryptic to me in many ways, but I thoroughly enjoyed it regardless. Quote
Newcomer4831 Posted April 8, 2009 Author Report Posted April 8, 2009 The Bhagavad Gita to me has so many ties to the basis of religion than anything else. "I am your creator. If you have the utmost submission and faith in me, you will go to heaven and all of the universe will flow smoothly."-Krishan Quote
