I just registered today and am looking forward to getting to know a few people here.

I live in the South and have 2 very close friends who are both Baptist. They have finally got to the point where they want to talk about the Church but still are a bit hesitant to talk to the missionaries. They want to attend church which excites me, and I am crossing my fingers that it's a good day in Sacrament meeting and Sunday School. Do any of you have ideas for me.........great talks, materials, experiences that I can find that will help as I begin to introduce them to the Church....? Thanks, Boone

I would look through some of the basic topics on mormon.org. Start with basics.

Boone - are you from Boone NC? I love that town!

I would HIGHLY suggest the Preach My Gospel book - it is a great tool. In the back there are commonly asked questions and answers found in the scriptures. Its a great resource and I think even the missionaries are starting to use it.

Missionaries and those called to be Mission Presidents are highly encouraged to use it.

I suggest you take "ice in your hat" :) It is cool they are interested, but be careful to allow them their speed. I keep my fingers crossd for you! Then if they begin to back because of somethig someone has told them or shown them, you can sak if they know you, and if they really believe you would believe in such...

Book of Mormon (I think they have in a southern language)

And the Ensign (or Liahona)

haha my husband and I lived in the south this past summer. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! However, it took a little bit of adjusting to life in the south. :D
