This also challenges us conservatives to put our money where our mouth is. We supported Gitmo when Bush was running things, because we believed it to be in the best interests of national security. After making the obligatory points about hypocrasy, will we rally around our current President as he seeks to keep Bagram open?

I fully support the President in this effort.....where are the shrill shrieks from the left???

Dunno... Probably died in their throats.

I think the President's right on this call (knowing as little about the situation as I do). War is brutal, and when we're dealing with people who want nothing more than to take us down and have the will to do it... What can you do? I guess this is one of those times when Obama's inexperience came to bite him in the back- condemning Bush's actions at Gitmo seems hypocrisy incarnate now. Although, I would rather have a President who recants his mistakes made in ignorance, and then makes the right choice.

Now if he'd just do that with the economic situation...
