jaynesballad Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I am a Christian. I am new to this. It has been about a year now. I read the bible daily and met someone online a while back who is a Mormon. We started having discussions. I have read the Book of Mormon. Some of it I get and some of it I don't. I am now reading a book about Joseph Smith. I would like to ask questions if appropriate on this site. Thanks. Quote
FunkyTown Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 It's always appropriate, Jaynes. We appreciate all honest questioning, although we've had our share of people asking not-so-honest questions. You're more than welcome here. Quote
jaynesballad Posted June 5, 2009 Author Report Posted June 5, 2009 Well, if I ask a question that is not honest it would only be because it is something that has been pointed out to me or I have read. That is why I want to ask questions.. to find out more about this faith. So forgive me and feel free to correct me if I am wrong in what I ask. Quote
pam Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Welcome to the site. As I recommend to others who want to ask questions. If you ask a question one at a time instead of multiple questions it really helps us to answer them better. Quote
Maya Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Hi and welcome. Questions are always ok, debating may get too tense. One has to understand, when one has got an answer. If one disagrees he may say that, but no need to get in to a fight. Some things are not understood right away, even though the answer is given. Many do have stuff they dont understand, even though they have been members all their life, but they believe it. One meets often truths that say against one an other and one has to respect the others opinions. Quote
