miztrniceguy Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 A lot of people are on Facebook more than they are on here.If someone wants to start a group, they can, with or without permission. In order to start a "page" on Facebook, however, one must be an official representative of the group/business/website for whom they are creating the page.thats if someone wanted to start an 'official' page....i could start a page called exmcdonaldsemployees without getting permission from McD's or anyone else... it may not be official, but i could do it. pam Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 You could and then an official rep from the organization could request facebook to take it down. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 yes they could request it....or i could start my own website called theunofficialcorporatebignamecompany.com with a mission statement to allow anyone to say the are reps of a company without them having to prove they are. mind you, i'm not saying someone should...only that someone could. Wingnut Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Sorry. Obvious spelling errors are one of my pet peeves. I'm OCD about that and you should conform to my needs to accomodate me.Did you post that in the OCD thread so we are aware of it?Yes, maybe you'd like to talk about it? Quote
john doe Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Yes, maybe you'd like to talk about it? No one's posted on that thread in 2 days. Do you want me to close it as it has outlived its usefulness? Quote
Wingnut Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 It's still useful. All the people who only post on threads 3 days old or older still need to revive it tomorrow. Quote
