A lot of people are on Facebook more than they are on here.

If someone wants to start a group, they can, with or without permission. In order to start a "page" on Facebook, however, one must be an official representative of the group/business/website for whom they are creating the page.

thats if someone wanted to start an 'official' page....i could start a page called exmcdonaldsemployees without getting permission from McD's or anyone else... it may not be official, but i could do it.

You could and then an official rep from the organization could request facebook to take it down.

yes they could request it....or i could start my own website called theunofficialcorporatebignamecompany.com with a mission statement to allow anyone to say the are reps of a company without them having to prove they are.

mind you, i'm not saying someone should...only that someone could.

Sorry. Obvious spelling errors are one of my pet peeves. I'm OCD about that and you should conform to my needs to accomodate me.

Did you post that in the OCD thread so we are aware of it?

Yes, maybe you'd like to talk about it?
