Depends on your definition of angel... do you envision wings and flying around?

I dont believe in the wings and halos..... however I do believe I had a spirit before I came and I lived with my Heavenly Father before I was born. My spiritual state continued when I came to earth and my spirit is now dwelling in a physical body...and I believe when I die.... my spirit (and my personality and knowledge) will continue on after my body dies.... and i will again return to a heavenly kingdom.

Ok ok.. .so thats where I HOPE I am going :)... ("heavenly") haha

Angel is from the Greek word for messenger. Any being that God uses as a messenger can therefore be an angel - including mortals.

Given that spirits, angels, mortals and Gods are all from the same family and substance, but at different levels of development, we can just realize that God uses whom he will and as needed to be an angel.

Agreed. We are meant to be angels right here and now. Let's perform acts of love and encouragement, and spread the good news about God, during our life here on earth!

Peace,

Some pre-Earth spirits were sent with messages for us, and so they were angels in that capacity. Job talks about the Sons of God and how they were part of the creation of the Earth (Job 38: 7). He alludes to the war in heaven int Job 1 and 2, and John expounds on it in Revelation (Rev. 12: 7, 9). So in that sense, we all fought as angels in that war.

Angels are messengers of God doing his work. It doesn't matter if his children he sends with the message or help is from the pre-existence, a mortal, or beyond the veil - an angel can be any child of God he sends from any time or place.

We are his angels when we respond to the Holy Ghosts promptings to help others. There is a saying "Gods greatest blessings flow from hands that serve him here below".

Turns out all of the above. Before our earthly missions, during and after.
