Every hour someone is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord. Please join me in supporting the National MS Society's mission to end the devastating effects of MS. You can support me by clicking the link below and making a secure online epledge.

On September 10th and 11th I will be riding 200 miles to raise Money for multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is thought to be an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS consists of the brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves. Surrounding and protecting the nerve fibers of the CNS is a fatty tissue called myelin, which helps nerve fibers conduct electrical impulses.

In MS, myelin is lost in multiple areas, leaving scar tissue called sclerosis. These damaged areas are also known as plaques or lesions. Sometimes the nerve fiber itself is damaged or broken.

Myelin not only protects nerve fibers, but makes their job possible. When myelin or the nerve fiber is destroyed or damaged, the ability of the nerves to conduct electrical impulses to and from the brain is disrupted, and this produces the various symptoms of MS.

If you are getting this message for a 2nd time, I apologize it did not occur to me that people might not read this email due to the fact that it may have been received from an unknown source.

Thank you - with your generous donation we can make a difference!

Thanks for the support, the event was truly awesome, SOO many riders and just really great support from the community period. Made for a memorable experience.

Here are the pics I took if you are interested. Click Here.

Cool. My oldest brother had it before he died. He became completely unable to move or see before he passed away.

I am always grateful for those who seek ways to help.

I am so sorry to hear =( but as you can see in the pictures the support for this event is incredible and every rider who wants to ride has to raise at least 200$ in donations and this event takes place all over the US and in several other countries, so the fight is strong.

Awesome! I now own a restaurant and am looking for those balloons or stars or whatever they are going to use this year, to no avail. I have done a search and can't find out where to order them. They are the ones that you sell to your customers for a dollar donation and they put their name on them.

Help anyone?

Thanks,

Marsha
