hello my name is Tony and I was a convert to the Church when I was 22 years old. Joining the LDS Church was the best thing I ever did in my life and when I lived the gospel the Happiest time. However along my path I lost my way. I Hope to be realifilliated back with the saints. So I hope I can make friends, that will encorage me to return to my Heavenly Father.

Hello Tony, I am also a convert. I understand how difficult it can be to withstand the world being so young in age and barely the fundamentals of the Gospel.

Do not spend much time thinking about the past. Just come back, find a chapel near your home, talk to your bishop, attend Sacrament. Seek to reconnect emotionally and spiritually with what you know to be the truth and that brought so much happiness to your heart.

Welcome back!

Tony, thanks for reaching out. I too am a convert to the Church. My life has been amazing ever since I joined the Church 12 years ago. I know the path is not always easy but keep fighting! If you'd like to hear why I decided to join the Church, you can hear my story here:

I hope it can serve to strengthen your desire to return to the Church.

Welcome to the forums here. :)

I find peace in my life living the gospel and attending church. One day I know I will have to answer to God for my mortal life here. I am so grateful for the knowledge and gifts that the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. It is preparing me for that day in the future.

I applaud you for taking this step. it is hard for people to come back after a long absence, i for one would welcome anyone who has been inactive from the church with open arms. Like others have said - i encourage you to let go of the past and just do it. The first time will be the hardest. Happy to help you in any way i can :)

Welcome Tony! You will find friends here that want to help you to get back!

So officially:

Welcome to LDS.net. You will find here an ecclectic mix of LDS and some non-members. While the site is dedicated to the Gospel, and to promoting the Church to a world that often does not understand us, we also make room for conversations about current events, and about social and cultural practices within the Church. If your main desire is to learn about the Church, consider starting with the "Learn About Mormonism" forums. For more advanced teachings, that will often include a variety of perspectives, some non-LDS, consider the Gospel section of forums.

While you are welcome to all main sections, be aware this site makes room for a variety of opinions and personalities. Some posters can be passionate about their views, and occasionally more so about them than about the souls of visitors. If you find something particularly offensive, feel free to make a report by clicking the appropriate tab.
