Actress Brittany Murphy dies

I think it is so sad that she died. I thought she was such a great actress. Hollywood can mess so many great people up :/

I heard she had Diabetes too, and took like anxiety meds and something else.

But I think they did an autopsy on her.

I don't remember reading that she had diabetes, but I do remember reading that her young son does.

Heya, JAG - I read those links you posted. While this is old news(I've been gone from the site), I thought I'd check in and see if it was decided they were illegal. From the first link:

and from the second link:

Prosecutors in the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan had been overseeing a Drug Enforcement Administration probe into whether the painkillers found in Ledger's system were obtained illegally.

and

DEA investigators suspect the painkillers found in Ledger's system, oxycodone and hydrocodone, were obtained with phony prescriptions or other illegal means. Oxycodone is sold as OxyContin and hydrocodone as Vicodin.

The key words here are 'Suspected' and 'probe into whether the painkillers found in Ledger's system were obtained illegally'.

Basically, the police were unsure and unwilling to make allegations without specific proof. Given that all the drugs in his system were potentially legal and that he could have gotten, as a Hollywood actor, far stronger drugs, I suspect they were legal. Or at least that we can give him the benefit of the doubt.
