talisyn Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I really couldn't find a forum that this question would fit in, so using my logic I thought more 2 (or more) time parents would see this one. My question is, with the second pregnancy how fast does it show? I heard pretty fast but most people have their 2nd only a few years after their first. If there is the space of 6+ years between siblings does it show so fast? Is it easier (being a pro and all that lol)? Thanks Quote
john doe Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 It varies from person to person. Quote
Wingnut Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 It'll also vary depending on your physical shape/condition post-1st pregnancy. If you've toned back up nicely, and your belly is similar to how it was before, you might have similar results. If you're already flabbier, it might start filling out sooner. Quote

If that's the case I'll be wearing maternity clothes before I even get a BFP on my next one. *grumbles* Quote
Jenamarie Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I started out pregnancy #2 30 pounds lighter than when I started pregnancy #1 (I KNOW! how does that happen???) I obviously showed much earlier. Now, it still took until about 17 weeks to look like "oh wow, she's pregnant!" instead of "wow, she's gaining the weight back", but it was earlier. (I think I was 25 weeks before I looked obviously pregnant with my first) BUT, I started out pregnancy #3 at a weight right inbetween the two (so about 15 pounds lighter than with #1, but 15 pounds heavier than #2) and I showed even earlier! I swear I was in maternity pants right after I saw the two lines! (and that's not much of an exageration!) Quote
Gwen Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 every pregnancy is different, right down to how much amniotic fluid you have. the pregnancy is easier in the since that you kinda know what will happen. it's not easier in that with the first you can do what you want, after that you get up and tend the kids if you are sick or not. the delivery.... every one is different, if you go in thinking you are a pro something will be different just to humble you. lol Quote
