Winnie G Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 On Boxing day my sweet little granddaughter went sledding with her mom and dad all went well till the front door opened and my daughter was holding my granddaughter saying, “Mommy I think her Leg is broken” With years of experience after four kids my husband and we slipped her cloths off slowly and started to check her over with her parents wringing their hands behind us and asking all kinds of questions. Even I thought its was very brave of a little girl for staying as calm crying softly. First the snow suit off and then sweat pants, boots till we could check her over, sure enough we recognized a broken leg when we saw it. She has a spiral brake below her knee and a cast to her hip. She is now scooting around the living room floor on her bum making her crawling little sister feel special that her sister thinks she is important enough to stay down on her level. The surgeon is seeing her tomorrow, there is talk about re-braking her leg. By the way it maybe fun for mom and dad to do the big hill with a little one but bumps that toss little girls out of the sled then dad right on top of her is not a wise idia. Little hill for little girls / boys Quote

Winnie G Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 Setheus The Sounds And Smells Of Christmas was one I started, I can be funny and you don’t know me well enough to know how truly positive I am.I have lived a life full of challenges and pain and I always come out on top that is one of my best qualities.I will post what I sent out with my Christmas cards this year maybe that will settle this question as to my so-called negative self. The only problem is it has family photos that go with it, so if you like I am happy to email it to any of you that might like to see it. This Christmas I wanted to give the people, I loved something truly from my hart. But what I asked myself? It cannot be bought wrapped with a bow or could I wrap it?So much has filled my hart this year as I look back and find something that really meant how my hart feels. So I decided to make a list to share with you.I’m loved not just by one or just family my family but by friends. How lucky is that!I am lucky to have true friends. The ones that will walk though life’s storms that blow my way.I have found that special place in my hart that was opened by grandchildren that I did not know I had until they came in to my life. Bellybuttons became ever clearer this year when I watched my daughter gave birth to our newest granddaughter Emily. You never look at your bellybutton again with out stopping for a second thought when your daughter her husband and their daughter introduce their new one to her big sister with a kiss. I have the gift of the gospel in my life and an Eternal companion who holds the priesthood to bless my life and others. I have had the gift of watching one of my sons fall in love with the right girl. His joy and happiness fills my hart to the brim with memories of that moment that I fell in love.I have Spot Shot! for the upholstery in my back set of my car for bananas that don’t make it past nap time. I can always get a smile Life cannot get any better then this.Love Winnie Quote
