EXCERPT: The library replaces 24 smaller family history centers housed in local meetinghouses that served nearly 90 LDS stakes in the south part of the Salt Lake Valley.

The 10,000-square-foot library offers 127 patron computer work stations and free Web and premium subscription access and will be stocked with 50,000 rolls of high-demand microfilms. Patrons needing other microfilms not available can order them at new library, with the order being filled for the next day.

Wow I didn't even know this was happening but I know exactly what building it is that they are using. Didn't know the Church had purchased the building but it's a nice one. Much more convenient for me as I live relatively close to it.
