bytor2112 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 A huge ball of brightly burning gas drifting through a neighboring galaxy may be the heaviest star ever discovered — hundreds of times more massive than the sun, scientists said Wednesday after working out its weight for the first time.Worlds without number.... Hemidakota Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Worlds without number...."What they're characterizing as a single massive star could in fact be a binary system too close to be resolved," said Mark Krumholz, an astronomer at the University of California, Santa Cruz."Distance is an issue right now...but believe me, when the veil is dropped at the core of own galaxy, it may pale this star in size and luminosity. If it so, we are looking at a centric core of newly formed galaxy. Eventually, I believe, a cloak or veil will be in place to cover such from those worlds which will be created and used for humanity. But I do want to thank you for posting this. Quote

Cloaks? Veils? Is this a trekkie thing? Quote
