lizzy12 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 On monthes with a 5th sunday the YW teach the lesson based on a confence talk. This lesson is aimed at girls at the ages of 12(home schooled), 15(public school.), 15 (public school),18(public school.). And 4 leaders. Its right before school starts, so i want to make this lesson meaningful so the girls can go back to school thinking about the right things. Any ideas? Quote
Nikkie85 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 I am the Mia Maids adviser and lately I feel like the girls need some direction. Maybe talk to them about being a good example to their friends and following the good examples of their mothers, aunts, friends etc? Quote
Moksha Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Has there been any prior lessons about judgmentalness and gossiping? Quote
Dravin Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Considering you want to keep in mind school is around the corner how about something on the importance of an education or goal setting? Quote
lizzy12 Posted August 6, 2010 Author Report Posted August 6, 2010 thanks for the advice. I'm not sure about the judgmental or gossip lessons... I need an ensign article to base my lesson of off though. My leader wants me to give the lessons based on an ensign article Quote
Dravin Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 LDS.org - Search EnsignPop in a topic (goals, education, gossip, judgement or what have you) and it'll spit out more articles than you'll probably want to sort through. Quote
