I think you should research a bit more about what marines do :) Two of my best guy friends joined the marines and wanted to take a leave and serve a mission, they were denied. I suggest doing your mission and then signing up.

Well, i'm planning on going to BYU-I. And I was thinking there may be no point..then again My yw told me about her roommates and some things they were doing.....and I'd rather avoid that.

Its going to be super cold here. So Popsicle would be out. And i despise Hot dogs :) ice cream sounds good though....although..whats so summery about popsicles and not about ice cream. hmm

So, I'm having a after-Christmas-but-before-new-years-eve-party. I have the activities planned- glow in the dark volleyball, charades, karaoke, spoons ect. And, I'm having it at the church, in the gym. We have access to the kitchen as well. I'm inviting 35 people. (also, I was just going to have my mother their..do you think other supervision is needed? I trust each of these individuals..and theres a nice mix of quiet band people in with some loud drama kids..) What kind of food could i have? I don't want anything too celebrate, costly or anything that needs tons of time to eat..I also don't want to have to sit to eat this food..(there will be tables and such..but not for eating.) Pizza gets expensive... any ideas? and some kind of dessert too...

I think it would be fun to have a lil inexpensive gift go around...like a diet coke one day to her the next you get a cute nail filing board.hmmm..maybe i'll do this with my friends haha. . Anyway, for her I think anything her and her child can do together would be cute. Not sure how old the kid is but you could make a puzzle out of cardstock paper color it and have it say Thank You, your the best! or, get her a new nail polish or mascara, a small treat for herself

As of right now you can go through Personal Progress with her, even if you recived it as a teenager you can get it again. Also, you could do it again right now..its open to all

I was told you leave young womens once you graduate or turn 18. Whatever comes first. And I'll be going to BYU-I in the fall, and i doubt there singles wards have a young womens group :)

All the other young women in my grade are in the upper level class because I am graduating high school early therefore missing a whole year of Yw's and sunday school. I don't see why I can't just move up. I'm going to talk to the bishop. I should be in sunday school with those that will leave yw's the same time I do, and I want a beneficial last few months. I have had a few amazing sunday school teachers and a lot that lacked preparation..and I just feel like I missed out...

We have a new teacher for the 16-18 year olds. However, i've recently been told I won't be attending that class...even though I'm 16. Would it be wrong to just show up to the other class and see how it goes?

well, I think one was referring to groups relating to sex....like groups that encourged husbands and wives to have a 3rd person in their relationship. That what I got from it. In my ward the YW have the bigger budget yet the Young Men go out for ice cream every tuesday after their planned activity...then they ask to borrow from us (using our money for joint activities their in charge of). That bugs me a lot. And in my ward the youth speaker is always last regardless of the gender.

We had quite a few letters read to us about self awarness groups and having bringing another person into a sexual exchange.... During the Self Awarness letter I was a little bit confused...They said they discourged groups that made you get up early or were late at night. Isn't that kind of what seminary is? Maybe I'm missing something?

My view is don't do anything you wouldn't do infront of your mother :) And...the only thing I can think of that would be innaproprite in a marriage relationships is bringing another person into the mix.

Floor Hockey :) I suck at sports..but its so much fun when they get abusive haha. We played a really rough game of soccer in gym class..that was pretty fun
