I'm going to post this story here since it sort of deals with the same topic and it's not really

breaking news. It's a good article on TV programs Rep. and Dem. seem to watch.

The Reign of Right-Wing Primetime - Live Feed

According to months of data from leading media-research company Experian Simmons, viewers who vote Republican and identify themselves as conservative are more likely than Democrats to love the biggest hits on TV. Of the top 10 broadcast shows on TV in the spring, nine were ranked more favorably by viewers who identify themselves as Republican.

Wow...I have never seen any of those shows....Democrat or Republican list.

Well here's a pile of garbage research. If liberalism were genetic, why does it correlate so highly with things like education? I suppose education is genetic too then?

99% of the time, if you read a study that links a single gene to a complex trait, the research isn't worth reading. And it rarely can be replicated.

Well, IQ is related to higher education, and that's genetic. More significantly, higher education is related to socioeconomic status, and that tends to be hereditary, although not genetic. How else did George W. Bush get a degree from Yale?

I'm pretty sure that anything hereditary is, by its very definition, genetic. What I think you mean is that socioeconomic status is environmental, and tends to stay within families.

IIRC, Bush's college grades were better than Kerry's.

Bush certainly doesn't represent himself well before a camera or in crowds; and he's done a lot of stuff even I disagree with. But he's not a stupid man.

Bush's grades and what he took in Yale:

John Kerry's grades:

Kerry earned D's at Yale, transcript shows - Politics - msnbc.com

Bush had higher in his freshman year. Kerry higher in his senior year.

Bush earned a solid C average i his time at Yale. Kerry graduated with a B average, according to Yale's reckoning at the time.

In fact, Bush's were a tad higher. His four-year average was 77; Kerry's 76. Both were C students. Kerry graduated from Yale in 1966; Bush in 1968. -USA Today
